This is a loan using a commercial property as security as opposed to a residential property. The commercial property can be used to run your own business or you can purchase a commercial property as an investment.

The commercial property can be a strata office building or a warehouse or factory unit within a complex. We can also finance many other types or commercial, industrial or retail property. Commercial property can be very generic building that could house almost any type of business to very specialised property like a squash court complex, a motel or service station that have a very specific purpose.

Blocks of residential units that have not been strata titled and guest houses would also fall under this category.

Commercial property can be a great investment providing regular income and high returns.  The downside can be that it may take longer to find a tenant compared to residential property.  It is important that you understand the risks and structure your loans to minimise that risk.
